Grid.ID - MTV akhirnya merilis daftar nominasi untuk Video Music Awards (VMA) 2020, Kamis (30/7/2020).
Ajang penghargaan VMA 2020 ini akan digelar pada 31 Agustus mendatang.
Dalam daftar nominasi VMA 2020, Bangtan Boys (BTS) siap bersaing dengan musisi-musisi ternama lainnya.

Grup asuhan Big Hit Entertainment itu masuk dalam nominasi kategori Best Pop dengan lagu 'On' yang dirilis 27 Februari silam.
Di kategori tersebut, BTS bersaing dengan sejumlah penyanyi papan atas seperti Halsey ('You Should be Sad'), Jonas Brothers ('What a Man Gotta Go'), dan Justin Bieber feat Quavo ('Intentions').
BTS juga melawan Lady Gaga feat Ariana Grande ('Rain On Me') dan Taylor Swift ('Lover').

Selain Best Pop, BTS juga masuk dalam dua kategori lain yakni Best Choreography dan Best K-Pop.
Di kategori Best Choreography, grup K-Pop ini kembali bersaing dengan Lady Gaga dan Ariana Grande ('Rain On Me').
Ada juga 'Honey Boo' dari CNCO & Natti Natasha, 'BOP' dari DaBaby, 'Physical' dari Dua Lipa, dan 'Motivation' Normani.

Sementara untuk kategori Best K-Pop, BTS disandingkan dengan jumlah grup K-Pop lainnya.
Di antaranya, ada EXO ('Obsession), (G)I-DLE ('Oh My God'), Monsta X ('Someone's Someone'), Red Velvet ('Psycho'), dan TXT ('9 and Three Quarters').
Para penggemar dapat memberikan suaranya untuk mendukung masing-masing idola lewat situs vma.mtv.com.
Voting telah dibuka mulai sekarang hingga 23 Agustus 2020. Namun kategori Best New Artist akan dibuka sampai 30 Agustus.
